Introducing… Tuck-Inz at Mill Creek Studio!

Leave no piece of stone unturned in our studio!

As sculptor Hugo Brees refines his raw sculptures, he provides the studio with the opportunity to salvage off-cuts of stone accumulating in the sweepings of his latest projects.

Conscientious of reusing, repurposing and recycling, this stone is passed on the studio’s maker/artist Joan Brees to create custom-designed graphics for the palm-sized art pieces.

Tuck-Inz© are a perfect, unique artisan gift! The small-scaled size piece can be tucked into a bookshelf, on a desk, next to a plant… a subtle art piece to decorate that special home or office nook.

Each stone’s shape and type – soapstone, alabaster, chlorite – elicits its own personality. The background vignettes are produced using a special inking process to produce novel designs for every piece. Hard-wearing epoxy resin is applied as a final touch to seal the durability of the product.

The quirky, distinctive Tuck-Inz© from our studio has been test-marketed with two galleries this fall and has been met with enthusiastic and proven results.

Tuck-Inz© pieces are unique; never replicated, studio inventory turn-over is ongoing. Our current stock on www.millcreekstudio.ca changes often.

If you are in the Pincher Creek, AB area the Pincher Creek Allied Arts Lebel Mansion gift shop carries a selection of Mill Creek Studio Tuck-inz© and follow our studio on Facebook at millcreekstudio!

Alabaster is the choice stone of this month. Decidedly harder and more brittle than the softer soapstone varieties, this medium is a challenge to master.
